Covenant Update

Dear Covenant Family:

We had a great service at Covenant today, with 31 folks in attendance.  Attached is today’s church bulletin, note that this month’s ministry is the Arbor House in Gainesville.  Also, be sure to check out the Suggestions for Living provided by Tina.

It was great to have both Mack and Carolyn Vlacos back in church today.  They have both had some health issues lately.  Prayer requests were asked today for Victoria McArthur who had a knee replacement this past week and was recovering well; Brent Harris was still recovering from a recent stroke but he had gone home from the hospital; Mack asked for prayers for Carolyn’s brother who was in the hospital; and Missy asked for prayers for two co-workers at Newberry High School, one whose 34-year-old son-in-law died from brain cancer leaving a wife and 2 small children behind and another teacher whose brother was close to death from cancer.  Praise requests were made by Carol Parker whose son had successful retinal surgery this past week; by Ron Marks whose daughter had successful knee surgery two seeks ago; and by Judy (Francis Bush’s friend) whose oldest granddaughter just graduated from law school.  It was great today to have numerous praise requests as well as prayer requests – God is good … all the time, all the time … God is good!

Pastor Don’s sermon was on Life Is Not All About You and his scripture was Romans 14:7-18.  You can listen to Pastor Don’s sermon from today by going to the Covenant website at https://gainesvillecovenantchurch.org/ and then clicking on Sermons, and then choosing the sermon you would like to hear.  We had set up this service about 2 months ago to provide our sermons online but had some issues in getting the system to work reliably.  Those issues have now been resolved and we have the last five of Pastor Don’s sermons available online for anyone wishing to listen to them.  We hope all future sermons will be recorded and available for anyone to be able to hear them.

Wishing everyone a very blessed week!

Ron
