Covenant Update

Dear Covenant Family:

We had a good service at Covenant today.  We had 29 people present, including Francis Bush was back with us for the first time in quite awhile, it was great to see him again.  Pastor Don was unable to be with us today, his health is fine, he just had made a promise to provide a church service to another group a long time ago.  Attached is the bulletin for today’s service.  

Today we had a prayer request for Betty Arnette, who is in rehab right now after breaking her leg two weeks ago.  A prayer request was also made for the family of Lori Emmer Cain who died this week from cancer in Gainesville.  

Another prayer request is for a young family in south Florida where the mother died soon after her child was born and the father just had a massive coronary event, please pray for this father and his child.  The final prayer request made was for Susan Balloon and her family in Gainesville in the death this past Thursday of her husband Don Balloon from pneumonia received after a COVID diagnosis.  Don has been in the hospital for the past three weeks and on a ventilator for the past two weeks.

Note that Lent starts this week.  Attached is a document you can use, if you wish, for fasting this Lenten season.   This document has been provided to use the past few years by Carl Romey, and I encourage you to read it.

Also, I usually provide a summary of Pastor Don’s sermon given that day.  Since I gave today’s sermon, I have simply attached a copy of my sermon so you can read it if you like.
