Woo Hoo It’s Wednesday! But I’m late!

This week, I had one of those moments. The calendar was full, the to-do list was long, and the holiday hullabaloo was in full swing. In the midst of all the good things, I realized I had forgotten to send out our Wednesday devotional.

It stopped me in my tracks.

Not because missing a message is the end of the world, but because it was a reminder of how easily we can get caught up in all the things and miss the main thing!

Christmas brings joy, traditions, gatherings, music, decorations, and giving. None of those are bad, in fact, many of them are beautiful. But if we’re not careful, the noise of the season can drown out the quiet miracle at its center.

Scripture reminds us:

“But Mary treasured up all these things and pondered them in her heart.” (Luke 2:19)

While the world around her was busy and buzzing, Mary paused. She reflected. She focused on what God was doing right in front of her.

This season invites us to do the same.

When we feel overwhelmed… pause.
When the schedule feels too full… breathe.
When we realize we’ve been running instead of resting… refocus.

The reason for the season is found in a Savior who came quietly, humbly, and lovingly into a busy world.

So today, whether you feel ahead or behind, prepared or frazzled, may this be your gentle reminder (and mine too): Jesus is still the center, and it’s never too late to stop, look to the manger, and remember why we celebrate.

Shine , Shine, Shine!
