Woo Hoo It’s Wednesday

Happy Thanksgiving Eve! I hope you all have your groceries bought, desserts made, and tables set. Tomorrow is going to be a great day. The smell of turkey roasting, my mom’s cornbread dressing, and multiple desserts. Stop the presses!  As I typed that sentence, I realized what makes the day special is not the food, although that part is pretty awesome. The great part is time spent with ones we love and the laughter and joy we share. It’s the feeling of a heart overflowing with gratitude for all our blessings. It reminds me of the first words of the Doxology. “Praise God from whom all blessings flow!” This Thanksgiving let’s PRAISE Him for all our blessings. Saying thank you is nice, but praise includes something more. We must express our admiration for our Savior. We do this by telling HIM or singing about how awesome He is. We do this by telling others how awesome He is. We do this by living a life and making choices that make Him proud. Let’s commit to a life of Thanks-living and let’s take it to the next level. Let’s be quick to tell someone how much they mean to us. Let’s be quick to share our appreciation with others. Let’s share kindness and joy. You know what that means?

Shine, Shine, Shine! Tomorrow I want you to also Praise, Praise, Praise!

When I count my blessings, I include you.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Tina

By the way, whoever made the peanut butter cup dessert for Thanksgiving dinner, it was AWESOME! I would love the recipe.
