Woo Hoo It’s Wednesday

I completely erased what I had written for this week. As I read it over, I sensed that it wasn’t the message God wanted me to share. So here I am, at 8:30 on Tuesday night, starting again.

I’m not sure what message you need to hear today, but this simple truth keeps coming to mind: God is good.

When we look at the world, it is easy to focus on the evil and the ugliness. The headlines, the hurt, and the unkindness can weigh heavily on our hearts. Before we realize it, we can spend so much time watching the darkness that we overlook the light.

But look around. God’s handiwork is everywhere.

It’s in the beauty of a sunset, the laughter of a child, and the kindness of someone who takes time to care. It’s in the friend who checks on you, the strength that carries you through a difficult day, and the quiet assurance that you are loved.

The clouds may hide the sun, but they cannot make it disappear. In the same way, the darkness around us cannot erase God’s goodness.

The enemy would love for us to become so discouraged that we stop noticing that goodness and stop sharing it. Yet Jesus calls us to shine.

We shine when we offer encouragement. We shine when we choose kindness, extend forgiveness, and make room for someone who feels alone. Even a small act of love can help someone see God’s goodness again.

So this week, pause long enough to notice His handiwork. Then ask Him how you can reflect His love to someone else.

God is good. His light is still shining. And through Him, so can we.

Shine, shine, Shine
