Woo Hoo It’s Wednesday!

When I sat down to write today, I had a hard time getting started. Things are spinning out of control at work, and I am frustrated with humankind. It seems that as a society, we have lost our ability to sit down and talk about differences we might have. The conversation is shut off before it ever gets started. We are like children who are squabbling. We pick up our toys, go home and don’t address the issue.

Tolerance is at an all time low. There is the attitude that if you don’t believe like I do, I’m going to hate you and make your life miserable. What happened to “Be ye kind, one to another?” I do not think the Bible qualifies that statement with…”if they think like you think.” Romans 14:1-3 says;  As for the one who is weak in faith, welcome him, but not to quarrel over opinions.  One person believes he may eat anything, while the weak person eats only vegetables. Let not the one who eats despise the one who abstains, and let not the one who abstains pass judgment on the one who eats, for God has welcomed him.

Our world would be so much better if we all would follow those verses. While we may not like the decisions someone else is making, while we make think they are the biggest wackadoodle ever, who are we to argue with them? Who are we to judge? God loves them as much as he loves us. (Sometimes that hard for me to imagine.)

I’m in no way saying you have to agree with the person. But, what are the odds of you changing their mind by arguing and being hateful? Slim at best! Let’s be the change! Let’s set the example. Let’s just love one another.

Thank you for letting me write this. I think I was the one that needed this message.

Shine, Shine, Shine!
