Well, dad is back to his aggravating self. Mom still tested positive for Covid. Lee finally tested negative for Covid and miraculously I have not gotten Covid. Woo Hoo!
What I have gotten is a renewed and enhanced appreciation for my family and friends. So often we take those we love for granted. We move through each day thinking that there will always be a tomorrow. But James 4:14 says, “Yet you do not know what your life will be like tomorrow. You are just a vapor that appears for a little while and then vanishes away.” The only tomorrow we are assured of is a tomorrow in heaven if we believe and have accepted the Lord as our Savior.
We have life experiences that cause us to say, “Life is short, I need to make a few changes,” but then we very quickly slip back into our old routines. My message today is simple. Don’t take tomorrow for granted. Love intensely. Let those you love know how much you love them. Say thank you to those people who make your life special. Don’t put off visiting that relative you haven’t seen in a while. Sit on the porch and take in the beauty around you. Laugh as much as you can! And don’t forget to thank the one who has made all of this possible.
To my Covenant family and friends that read my messages each week, I love you. To my dad who reads this and is always so encouraging, this does NOT mean that I will stop picking on you! (even if the preacher tells me to.)
Shine, Shine, Shine!
