It’s funny how remembering the song “Pass it On” reminded me of another song that I LOVE but is not in our current hymnal. It is called “Share His Love.” The words are fabulous. Read them below.
The love of God is broader than earth’s vast expanse,
‘tis deeper and wider than the sea.
Love reaches out to all to bring abundant life,
for God so loved the world His only Son He gave.
Share His love by telling what the Lord has done for you,
Share His love by sharing of your faith,
and show the world that Jesus Christ is real to you
every moment, every day.
All those who have trusted in God’s only Son,
and hold this precious treasure in their hearts,
seek ways to make it known to all who need to know
that God so loved the world His only Son he gave.

I’m going to give you a few very simple ways to communicate the love of God through simple means,
1. Listen when others talk. Your kids, your co-workers, the cashier at the grocery store. Make eye contact. Move beyond small talk and enter into true conversation.
2. Give the gift of time. This can be as simple as stopping to greet your neighbor or as intimate as sitting with someone who feels alone.
3. Enter into relationships without judgment. Meet people on level ground. It is not our job to correct others or preach to them.
Jesus listened. He offered his time. He extended compassion instead of judgment.
