Woo Hoo It’s Wednesday

I Forgot

I was so focused on preparing for the storm, I forgot to do my Wednesday message. We put up all of the porch furniture, moved the tools that could fly out of the barn, drained the pool and madly picked as many blueberries as we could.

I think sometimes in life we do the same thing. We are so worried about the storms in life, that we forget WHO is in control. The worry also makes us forget to do the important things like our Bible Study, spending time with family and friends, sending cards to those who are hurting, and thanking God for the many blessings that we have.

As the rain pours and the winds blow, I remember the words to one of my favorite anthems we sing:

“Hide me now, under your wings.

Cover me, within your mighty hand.

When the oceans rise and thunders roar,

I will soar with You above the storm.

Father, You are king over the flood.

I will be still and know You are God.

Find rest my soul, in Christ alone.

Know His power, in quietness and trust.

When the oceans rise and thunders roar,

I will soar with You above the storm.

Father, You are king over the flood.

I will be still and know You are God.”

As we go through the weeks ahead, remember His power. Psalm 55:22 says; “Cast your cares on the Lord and He will sustain you.” As we allow Him to handle more, maybe we won’t forget to do the important things in life.

Shine, Shine, Shine!
