Happy Wednesday!
I had a great trip to Boston. The history there is just so amazing. On the flight from Gainesville to Charlotte, I had the most amazing flight attendant. I know you are thinking that it was Becky, but it wasn’t. (I would’ve loved it if it had been.) She welcomed each person onto the plane, had a contagious smile and just shared a happy vibe. I walked off that plane thinking, “Wow, I’ll fly this airline again.”
On the trip from Charlotte to Boston, it was a different story. No one welcomed me, there were no smiles and it seemed like it was the last place this woman wanted to be. I walked off that plane thinking that flight attendant needed Jesus. I share this because it became clear to me that people look at Christians in just the same way. Are we behaving in such a way that others want what we have? Or are we behaving in a way that people are turned off by our grouchiness and aloofness?
Just as that flight attendant is the face of her airline, we are the face of Christianity. What an awesome responsibility.
Ephesians 5:8 says, 8 For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Live as children of light.” What does this mean for us? Shine, Shine, Shine!
