Woo Hoo It’s Wednesday

Timing is Everything

Wow! The weather has been crazy. I’m starting to feel like I need to build an ark. It’s funny how when Lee was growing the garden, we prayed for rain but we went through a dry spell. Now that the garden is finished, we are getting rain, rain and more rain. It reminds me that God does things in His own perfect time. We can ask for things, and not get the answer we want, when we want it. Later in life, we often look back and see how God’s timing was perfect.

Ron used Ecclesiastes 3:1 as his scripture Sunday. It simply says,” “There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens.”

God never promised us that our life on earth would be easy, but He did say that there is a time and season for everything. If you continue reading through verse 8 you will see how many things that we consider good end up countering with something we consider bad, but God has told us there is a purpose for it all. Verse 2-8 it reads, “ a time to be born and a time to die, a time to plant and a time to uproot, a time to kill and a time to heal, a time to tear down and a time to build, a time to weep and a time to laugh, a time to mourn and a time to dance, a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them, a time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing, a time to search and a time to give up, a time to keep and a time to throw away, a time to tear and a time to mend, a time to be silent and a time to speak, a time to love and a time to hate, a time for war and a time for peace.” I am glad that I read the rest of this familiar section of the Bible because it gives me hope for the chaotic times that we are going through. God has a purpose for it all and His timing is perfect. If we believe in that statement, we have an unfailing hope.

Restore your hope and Shine, Shine, Shine!
