Waiting on the Lord can be a challenging test of our faith. It can be difficult to trust that God’s timing is perfect, especially when we’re eager for answers or solutions to our problems. However, as we wait on the Lord, we learn valuable lessons about patience, perseverance, and the power of prayer.
In Psalm 27:14, we’re reminded to “wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord.” This verse encourages us to be strong and courageous, knowing that God is with us and will provide for us in His perfect timing. We can find comfort in knowing that we’re not alone in our waiting, and that God is always working behind the scenes to bring about His will in our lives.
While waiting on the Lord, it’s important to stay connected to Him through prayer and the study of His Word. As we seek Him with our whole hearts, He will reveal His plans and purposes for our lives. We may not always understand the reasons for our waiting, but we can trust that God is using this time to refine us and prepare us for His blessings.
Tim Tebow provided a great analogy about waiting on the Lord. He said, “While waiting at the bust stop, we know the bus is coming and that it is abiding by its schedule, not our own. If we carry the same confidence with God, if we trust that He is going to work in His timing, and will reveal Himself in His way, we can wait for Him without getting weary. We can be strong while we wait, as we keep our trust in the Lord.”
So if you’re waiting on an answer, remember to be patient, stay connected to God, and trust in His perfect timing. As you wait on the Lord, He will renew your strength and guide you on the path He has for you.
