Woo Hoo It’s Wednesday

I forgot to do my Wednesday message, it’s been a busy week, so I asked AI to help me write a devotional. I think it did a good job so I am sharing it with you.

Scripture Reading:

“You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead, they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.” – Matthew 5:14-16 (NIV)

Devotional:

In a world often veiled in darkness, we are called to be bearers of light. Just as a single candle can pierce through the deepest of shadows, so too can our actions and words illuminate the lives of those around us. In Matthew 5, Jesus reminds us of our role as lights in this world, urging us not to hide our light but to let it shine brightly for all to see.

Being a light in the darkness is not always easy. It requires courage, compassion, and unwavering faith. It means standing firm in our convictions, even when faced with adversity. It means extending a hand of kindness to the stranger, offering hope to the weary, and love to the broken-hearted.

But being a light in the darkness is also a great privilege. It allows us to partner with God in the work of redemption and restoration. It empowers us to bring comfort to the afflicted, joy to the downtrodden, and healing to the wounded soul. It reminds us that even in the bleakest of circumstances, there is always hope.

So, how do we let our light shine in a world that often seems consumed by darkness? We start by living lives that reflect the love and grace of Jesus Christ. We strive to embody His teachings in our thoughts, words, and actions. We seek out opportunities to be a source of encouragement, compassion, and reconciliation in our communities and beyond.

We also pray for guidance and strength, knowing that our own light is but a reflection of the light of Christ shining within us. And we trust in the promise that no darkness can overcome the light of God’s love.

As you go about your day, may you be reminded of your calling to be a light in the darkness. May you shine brightly, reflecting the love and grace of our Savior to all who cross your path. And may your light inspire others to seek the source of all light, Jesus Christ, who illuminates the way to eternal life.

Shine, Shine, Shine!
