Woo Hoo It’s Wednesday

–Our Award

Last night I presented a Master Board Award to the School Board of Union County. They took the time to learn together so they can become a more effective board.

Do you know that we were presented an award when we asked Jesus Christ to be our Lord and Savior? We were presented the gift of eternal life. The difference in this award and the one I presented last night is that THEY had to meet certain criteria in order to earn their award. We on the other hand simply had to say, “Jesus, I believe in you and want you to be my Lord and Savior.” That is all we are asked to do.

As I spoke last night, I sang the praises of those who cared enough about the students in their district to spend time increasing their leadership capacity. It dawned on me that we need to sing the praises of our Savior whenever we can. He presented us an award that we are so undeserving. He paid the price for our indiscretions. He paid the price for the times we lose our temper. He paid the price for ALL of our sins, no matter how big or how small. And then He turned around and presented us with an award.

2 Timothy 4:8 says, “Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day—and not only to me, but also to all who have longed for his appearing.”

Congratulations! You have been awarded the crown of righteousness.

Shine, Shine, Shine!
