Power Up Part 2
Last week I began by sharing how often Lee had to charge his cell phone while we were out of town. His battery needs to be recharged frequently. I don’t know about you, but often times I am like Lee’s battery. I need to be recharged. I came across these words in a devotion book I keep on my desk: “Moments with the Father are the most valuable moments of your day. Don’t be stingy with them. Without communication with your Savior, the world will quickly wear you out.”
This week has been extremely busy. It’s Tuesday and I am worn out. It then dawned on me that this busy life will soon fade, but the investment I make in my relationship with Him is forever.
James 4:8 says, “Come close to God, and God will come close to you…” As your battery wears down, how do you get recharged? You might want to try spending more time with God, and less time letting the ugliness of this world steal your energy. Less energy means less light, and less light means we aren’t able to SHINE for Him.
Power Up! Shine Bright!
