Happy Wednesday! I am loving this weather. I actually sat outside by the pool and worked yesterday afternoon.
Special thanks to Shirley for filling in for mom Sunday. Both of my brothers, their wives, a nephew, and my brother’s best friends from Nashville, were in town for the weekend. My brother Randy wanted to spend his 57th birthday here. It was FABULOUS
I am reading a book by Brene Brown called Dare to Lead. In order to lead, the author believes trust and courage are a must. I believe that in order to be an effective witness for Jesus Christ, we must also have trust and courage. Let me explain.
In order to gain trust, Brene Brown believes that it is not earned through heroic deeds, or highly visible actions, but in very small moments. These small moments generate trust. In order for us to lead others to Christ, it’s the little things that we do consistently that can make others notice that we are different, that we have something special.
She also says that in order to be an effective leader one has to have courage to not only do what is right but to have the tough conversations. We must have courage to consistently do what is right and have tough conversations. Building trust lays the foundation to have the conversation with someone about the difference Christ can make in their life.
Continue to build trust and have courage. The world needs you!
