Last week I held our first LIVE event at Mission Inn. It was so awesome seeing old friends and making new ones. Mission Inn gives the person who is responsible for the event a shiny gold pin to wear on your lapel. This shows employees around the property that you are able to use the Master Account and make requests if additional things are needed. When I put that pin on, I know that I represent my organization, FSBA, and I want to make them proud. These past few weeks you have probably seen a theme through the Sunday sermons and Wednesday messages. Kevin spoke about “Leaving a Legacy.” He shared 9 verses that address what we must do to leave a legacy for Christ. Ron and I have repeatedly shared with you how important it is to “be a light in the darkness.” So, imagine this. Every morning when you wake up you put on a big, bright, shiny button that simply says, “Christian.” Would wearing that make you a little more aware of your actions? Would it make you just a little more patient with someone? Would you bite your tongue instead of make a sarcastic remark? Christ died for us. He has put his “pin” of righteousness on our hearts. We must go through each day with the goal of making Him proud. As we do, we will bring light to the darkness and leave a legacy we can be proud of. Matthew 5:16 “Let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise their father in heaven. ”
Shine, Shine, Shine!
