Woo Hoo It’s Wednesday

I missed being with you all Sunday.

I’m sure you get tired of my messages about work, but I am finding there is a strong correlation between what I write for my “Leadership Lessons” for school board members, and what I write for you all. This week I was focusing on the importance of the school board and superintendent working together as a team. Research shows that a strong relationship between the board and superintendent leads to greater student achievement. It all has to do with district culture. I found a cute video to illustrate the importance of working together. As I watched the video, I was reminded of our most awesome church. I LOVE how we all pitch in to help when it’s time for an event. I love how Michelle and Shirley pitch in when mom and I aren’t there. I love how we took care of Luke and his family when times were tough. We are following the Bible’s teaching when we do these things.

Galatians 6:2 says,“Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.” We were never meant to do life alone. We need the love and care of others, as much as we are needed by others in the same ways. I think when it comes to working together for the glory of the Lord, we get an “A.” Speaking of which, don’t forget supplies for Newberry High School and Pine Grove this Sunday.

Shine, Shine, Shine!
