Happy 2024!
I apologize for missing last week. I was out of town and did not have my computer.
Lee and I had our grandchildren for New Year’s Eve and had a great time. After they left Monday morning, I sat down to write down my New Year’s Resolutions. As I pondered all of the things I need to work on, I remembered the scripture that Emma said she had read in church during the New Year’s Eve service. John 15:5 says, “I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.” BAM!
I don’t need a list of resolutions. I need to live closer to Him. What does that look like? It is reading my Bible, quiet time devoted to prayer and listening for His responses, worshiping with you all, and following His command found in John 15:12, “Love each other as I have loved you.” When I do these things, everything else will fall into place. He made it simple for us. We are the ones who complicate things.
So in 2024, draw closer to our Savior. As we do, we will be His light. Each day sparkle, glisten, glow, shimmer, twinkle, and Shine, Shine, Shine!
