Woo Hoo It’s Thanksgiving

“Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; his love endures forever.” – Psalm 107:1 (NIV)

Tomorrow is Thanksgiving, so let’s  take a moment to reflect on the abundant blessings bestowed upon us by our most amazing God. The Bible is filled with verses that remind us to give thanks in all circumstances, and today, we focus on the essence of a grateful heart.

In the midst of our busy lives, it’s easy to overlook the countless reasons we have to be thankful. The Apostle Paul encourages us in 1 Thessalonians 5:18 to “give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.” Notice that he doesn’t say to give thanks for all circumstances, but in all circumstances. Even in the challenges and trials, we can find reasons to be thankful because we serve a God who is with us every step of the way.

Reflect on the past year or even the past week. What are the moments, big or small, that fill your heart with gratitude? Take a moment to thank God for His provision, guidance, and unending love. Remember that gratitude is not just a feeling; it’s an attitude of the heart that flows from recognizing God’s goodness in our lives.

As we gather around tables filled with abundance, let us not forget the true source of our blessings. Every good gift comes from the Father above (James 1:17). In this season of Thanksgiving, let our gratitude be a form of worship—a recognition of God’s sovereignty and a humble acknowledgment that all we have is a gift from Him.

Shine, Shine, Shine!
