Dear Covenant Family:

Yesterday we had our fifth church service since our re-opening on June 7.  We had 17 church members present, a slightly smaller number than the previous 4 weeks.  I don’t know if people were traveling for the holiday weekend, or if more people were impacted by the increasing number of coronavirus cases in Florida, but it was a great service nonetheless.  We had a patriotic service for July 4, singing the Star Spangled Banner and Battle Hymn of the Republic, as well as reciting the Pledge of Allegiance.  Carl had a good sermon, building it around Psalm 46, which I suggest you read.

We continue to pray for all our church members, and their family and friends, and for our nation.  May God lead us to a peaceful solution to the issues we are now facing as a country, from the coronavirus pandemic to the peaceful and violent protests that seem to be consuming our country right now.  May God continue to bless our country and Covenant Church!
