Yesterday, we had 21 folks in church, it was a great turnout. Carl was also back in the pulpit after missing the past 2 weeks after his fall. He was feeling much better and gave an uplifting message. It was great to have him back! Attached is the church bulletin from yesterday’s service.
This month our ministry is Bread of the Mighty Foodbank (BMFB). We have always done this ministry in November so we can contribute for their Thanksgiving needs for the many local families needing feed to celebrate the Thanksgiving holiday. Although in past years, members could contribute cash or food products, we are requesting only cash donations this year as the BMFB can get the best price on their needed food. Remember that $10 buys a turkey for a family. So we will be collecting contributions through Thanksgiving for them.
In addition, November has 5 Sundays, so this is also Pine Grove month. Please bring your usual paper and cleaning products to church this month, or have someone bring them for you if you cannot come to church. Please do not bring any clothing or unwrapped products, as Pine Grove cannot accept them during the COVID pandemic. At the end of the month, we will deliver all the goods to Pine Grove.
Finally, we sang Happy Birthday to Becky Alexander yesterday, her birthday is November 3 if anyone wants to send her a note.
Also, a little birdie has told us that Bill and Ramona Mercado will be celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary on Saturday, November 14, in case anyone wants to send them a note for this special celebration.
Have a great week! Pray for our country this week…. all week!!
