Covenant Update from Ron

Dear Covenant Family:

Today was a great day at Covenant with 29 folks in attendance.  Attached is the bulletin with interesting Words of Wisdom from Tina, please check them out.

Prayer requests began with Carolyn Vlacos asking for prayers for Mack, who is having continuing lung issues and also now has pneumonia.  Michelle Miller asked for prayers for good weather for next weekend’s FCA car show (please see bulletin for details); she also asked for prayers for her granddaughter Tessa who begins her new Christian school this week.  Tina Floyd had an unspoken prayer request.  Larry Noegel had some good news on Fred Pearson who had a good week, was able to walk into his doctor’s office for his dialysis, is feeling stronger, but still needs prayers.  Our Santa Fe basketball player Josh who comes with Frank and Brenda Dolwick asked for prayers for a friend and teammate who was in a car crash that put him in the hospital; he is doing better now and hopes to get out of the hospital soon.  Nancy Parke asked for prayers for her friend Freddy who has been sick this week and is recovering slowly.

Pastor Don’s sermon today dealt with people playing favorites for superficial personal reasons such as appearance, dress, wealth, or social status.  His scripture came from James 2:1-9.  If you would like to listen to Pastor Don’s sermon, all recorded sermons can be accessed at https://gainesvillecovenantchurch.org/ and then choose Sermons on the home page, and then choose the sermon you want to hear.

I wish you all a most blessed week!  Cindy and I will be out of town for the next week, so there will not be an update next Sunday.

Ron
