Dear Covenant Family:
Today was a great day at Covenant Church! We only had 26 folks in attendance today, but it was an enthusiastic group! Attached is today’s church bulletin, please note Tina’s thoughtful additions titled Think Before Reacting and Think About It.
We only had a few prayer requests today. Pastor Don gave an update on Mack Vlacos, who is doing better in the hospital and hopes to come home in a few days; at the end of the service Pastor Don checked his phone and saw that he had a message saying Mack would be released and return home this afternoon! Victoria MacArthur also asked for prayers for a friend who was feeling frustrated after a colleague pulled out of a business deal they were planning together. Larry Noegel asked for continuing prayers for Fred Pearson who has been in and out of the hospital lately, and is not doing well. Craig Alexander also asked for traveling mercies for Becky who is traveling right now for her job and also has a stubborn cold.
Pastor Don’s sermon today focused on one of Jesus’ parables as told in John 13:3-20. Please read this scripture to understand the parable, and some of Jesus’ final words to his disciples. If you would like to listen to Pastor Don’s sermon, all recorded sermons can be accessed at https://gainesvillecovenantchurch.org/ and then choose Sermons on the home page, and then choose the sermon you want to hear.
Also note that we had Communion in church today, and Pastor Don introduced the Communion using scripture from Luke 22:14-20.
Cindy and I will be gone the next two weeks for our annual family vacation on Hilton Head Island. I wish you all a most blessed two weeks until we return and can be back with you all!
Ron
