Covenant Update from Ron
Dear Covenant Family:
We had a great turnout for church today, with 43 folks in attendance. See the attached bulletin for this month’s ministry programs and additional information.
Today’s prayer list began with Carolyn Vlacos asking for prayers for her brother David. Shaw Grigsby asked for prayers for his mother who is close to death. Bill Mercado asked for prayers for his brother who is still hospitalized in a NYC hospital, for over 7 months now and is also close to death. Maurita McKee asked for prayers for a friend of hers named Deanna who is in rehabilitation now for a fractured back she recently suffered. There was also a praise today as Mack and Carolyn Vlacos celebrated their 64th anniversary today so, of course, we sang to them!
Pastor Don gave today’s sermon titled A Sure Thing. He said his sermon could be summarized in the first line of the offertory music Rose played “My hope is built on nothing less than Jesus’ blood and righteousness.” Don also used scripture from Romans 5:3-4, Romans 15:13, and Romans 8:28 in his sermon. Today we also celebrated Don’s 2-year anniversary as our Pastor. We thank Don for his wonderful contributions in the pulpit, with his visitation with all church members, and his spiritual leadership at Covenant. May God continue to Pastor Don in his ministry at Covenant Church!
