Covenant update from Ron

Dear Covenant Church Family:

Today was a great day at Covenant, with 28 folks in
attendance.  First, let me remind everyone
to make sure to spring forward your clocks next Saturday night
before you go to bed.  That is because Daylight
Savings time starts next Sunday at 2 AM
in the morning.  So, if you plan to attend church next Sunday,
make sure to change your clocks before going to bed next Saturday night.  Also, there are 5 Sunday’s in March, so we
will also be supporting Pine Grove with paper products and cleaning materials,
and also Newberry High School with toiletries.

Covenant attendees raised a number of prayer requests
and also praises.  Rose Morgan asked for continued
prayers for the family of Tina Floyd in the death of her grandson.  Pastor Don asked for continued prayers for
Victoria and Paul McArthur, and he reported that she is now at home, but Paul
is still hospitalized.  Larry Noegel
asked for prayers for the families of three of his and Helen Ann’s friends –
Marilyn Bishop (who was a member of Covenant Church), Ben Mather, and Julia
Powell.  Patsy Baker asked for continued
prayers for her grandson.  Becky
Alexander asked for continued prayers for herself as she will now be going to
the Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville for an evaluation and potential treatments; she
also asked for prayers for flight crews of American Airlines that are now stuck
in Tel Aviv for awhile due to the attack on Iran by Israel.  Missy Mauldin then also asked for prayers for
the local people in Mexico who are still being negatively impacted by the drug
cartels in Mexico following the killing of a cartel leader killed last week by
police.

Shaw Grigsby gave a praise report for the Nuisance
Alligator meeting he held at Covenant Church this past Friday.  Frank Dolwick also shared a praise report for
the FCA banquet this week, and the excellent presentation that was made by
Patrick Young, who is now relegated to a wheelchair after being in a car
accident a few years ago.

Pastor Don was sick this past week, so he was present
in church today but unable to provide a sermon.
Tina was able to create a sing along, so rather than a sermon today, we
got to sing along to old favorite Christian songs in our hymnal.  Everyone seemed to enjoy the change of pace
that we had in church today.  We are
hopeful that Don will be able to provide a sermon again next Sunday.

I wish everyone a most blessed week.

Ron
