Dear Covenant Family:

Carl sent you all a note last Sunday expressing how well our first Sunday service went.  We look forward to holding church services regularly going forward unless there is some new negative information that develops regarding COVID-19.  We will loosen restrictions regarding masks and social distancing as those restrictions are lifted locally and make sense for us.

Except for Sunday church services, the Trustees have voted unanimously to keep Covenant closed this summer to all other activities.  The reason for this decision is that it would take a large cleaning effort to prepare the church for each activity that happens in a normal week.  Holding only weekly Sunday services requires just the usual weekly cleaning that Bill and Romona Mercado so ably provide.  So we will not have any Wednesday Bible services this summer.  Also, the YAH group has decided not to hold its regular monthly meetings this summer.  A message from Madge says:

Covenant YAH Group plans to begin meetings in September.  The YAH group will continue donating  paper and detergent supplies to Pine Grove during the summer.  Larry and Helen Ann Noegel will coordinate getting these supplies delivered directly to Pine Grove.  We will not ask folks to bring items to church to avoid entering the church except for Sundays services.  Pine Grove is not open to the public now due to the vulnerability of the residents to the COVID-19. The monthly prayer meetings will be scheduled when it is safe to do so.  Prayers for all to stay safe and prayers for peace in our country.

Also, the exercise class and singing groups that use our church for their activities will also not be allowed to use Covenant space until further notice.  The Trustees will review the COVID-19 situation in August and then decide on a plan to further re-open our church facilities when it is safe to do so.  If you have any questions or comments about this policy, please feel free to speak with any Trustee.

May God continue to bless Covenant Church.

Ron
