Covenant Update

Dear Covenant Family:

Today we had a great service at Covenant!  We had 36 folks in attendance, and the bulletin is attached for your information.  Remember our Thanksgiving dinner today at 5 PN – hope to see you all there!

We had a number of prayer requests today, mainly for folks not there.  Carolyn Vlacos asked for continued prayers for Mack and Mack’s brother in Jacksonville, prayers were asked for Larry and Helen Ann Noegel, and Don Mauldin asked for prayers for Missy.  There was one praise report given by Michelle thanking the church  members for their attendance at her daughter Lindsay’s baby shower the day before.

Pastor Don’s sermon asked two questions – (1) When do you give thanks, and (2) What are you thankful for?  His scripture to support his sermon was Psalm 136:1-9.  If you were unable to be in church today, I suggest and hope you will listen to Don’s sermon.  Pastor Don’s sermon can be accessed at https://gainesvillecovenantchurch.org/ and then choose Sermons on the home page, and then choose the sermon you want to hear. 

Cindy and I leave tomorrow for DC for 2.5 weeks to visit our children and their families for Thanksgiving and an early family Christmas.  I wish all of you a very blessed, quiet, and safe Thanksgiving holiday weekend!
