Covenant Update 10/12/2020

Yesterday was a very good service at Covenant.  We had 16 attendees at church.  Carl gave an excellent sermon on Keep On Keeping On.  His scripture was Philippians 4:1-9 and is included in the attached bulletin from yesterday’s service.

This month’s Ministry is the Southwest Advocacy Group (SWAG) in Gainesville.  For those who may not be familiar with it, here is a brief introduction and access to its website.  Note that Lee Pinkoson was instrumental in its early development when he served on the County Commission.

SWAG – The Southwest Advocacy Group (SWAG) is a grassroots organization with a goal to address the needs, provide opportunities, and improve the quality of life of those living in neighborhoods of SW Gainesville.  It began in February 2010 when nine women came together and discussed their concerns for SW Gainesville. Each woman worked on her own for years to bring services and support to the area. They formed SWAG, a non-profit, and accomplished goals beyond their dreams.  More information can be found at swadvocacygroup.org.
