Dear Covenant Family:
Yesterday was a beautiful Sunday and a great day at Covenant. We had 31 attendees at the service, and we had quite a few folks back who had not been with us for awhile, it was great to see all of them again.
Richard Parker shared an inspirational and thoughtful sermon with us, the message was on Jesus as “Our Preeminent High Priest”. His scripture was Hebrews 4:14-16, which is included in the attached bulletin from yesterday’s service.
We also had the rose garden planted last week that we had been planning for months in memory of Joyce McCallum. It is against the west wall of the church and will be beautiful once the plantings begin to produce their colorful flowers. Thanks to all who contributed to this beautiful garden.
Covenant also now has a search committee to lead our effort to find a new Pastor. The search committee is made up of Trustees Ron Marks and Michelle Miller, and members Craig Alexander, Carol King, and Carol Purpura. Attached is a job description that I hope everyone will read to understand the approach we are taking to finding the new Pastor that God is choosing for us. Please let any of the search committee members know if you have any questions, comments, suggestions, or names of potential candidates for the position. Pray that we will focus on God’s leadership in this search.
Praying that everyone will have a blessed week!!
Ron
