Covenant Update

Dear Covenant Family:

It was a great day at Covenant yesterday, in spite of the rainy weather.  We had 25 folks attend the service.  Our sermon was provided by Don Mauldin, a previous Covenant Pastor and long-time friend of the church.  His wife, Diane, and daughter Missy who teaches at GHS were also there with him.  His sermon was basically on it is never over until God says it is over, as evidenced from his chosen scripture.  The scripture is available in the attached bulletin from our service yesterday.

We also celebrated Covenant Church’s 34th anniversary (or was it our birthday ?) yesterday.  Tina decided we should sing Happy Birthday to Covenant so we did so.  Edwina, Michelle, and Rose also provided wonderful snacks for a social time to celebrate after church.  It also gave our members a nice time to visit with Don and his family.

Next Sunday the sermon will be given by Richard Parker, who is currently Pastor Emeritus at The Chapel here in Gainesville, you can learn more about him from this website https://www.thechapelgainesville.com/pastor-emeritus.  He was introduced to us by Don Mason, who met Richard when he was in the hospital here in Gainesville a few years ago.  I hope you can come to church next Sunday to hear Richard share God’s word with us.

Remember that our April Ministry is the King Ministry in Ghana, if you would like to contribute to it.

May God continue to bless Covenant Church!!

Ron
