Covenant Update

Dear Covenant Family:

We had 40 folks in attendance today for our Easter service.  It was good to see a number of Covenant members have other family members with them on this special day.  Attached is the bulletin for today’s service, please notice the special poem Tina included titled Every Day is Easter.  Note that this month’s ministry is the King Ministry in Ghana which has been an important global ministry at Covenant for about 10 years now.  Because April has five Sundays, we will also be providing cleaning and paper goods for Pine Grove, and providing toiletries for Newberry High School. Please bring to church or send with someone else any donations you would like to make to any of these ministries.  Also note that the YAH group will meet this Tuesday at Covenant at 10:30 AM and then go out for lunch after the meeting.

Pastor Don Mauldin was unable to lead today’s service because his sinuses were bad, so Don Mason agreed to preach today’s sermon. So we need to keep Pastor Don in our prayers this week, along with Teresa Robbins.  Teresa was hospitalized for a few days with low blood pressure, but the good news is she has been released to return home again.  Also, Brent Harris, a previous Covenant Pastor, will have open heart surgery this week, so we should keep him in our prayers.

Note that we will celebrate the 36th anniversary of Covenant Church next Sunday.  We will have a social time after church and light food and drink will be provided, so we hope you will plan on attending that special time together.

We offer special thanks to Don Mason for filling in at the last minute for our Easter service and hope that everyone had a very special Easter with their family and loved ones.  May this coming week be blessed for everyone reading this message!

Ron
