Dear Covenant Family:
Thanks to those who have mailed in their tithes and gifts to the church recently to help support the ongoing church expenses even while we are shut down. As a result of seeing some income at this time, the Trustees have decided that it is important for Covenant Church to continue our ministry work to those in need in our community and around the world that we regularly support.
To that end, we would like to continue supporting our monthly ministries as we have done when we were meeting regularly. Attached is a thank you we recently received from the Gainesville Community Ministry, for the financial support we provided them in March 2020 before we were forced to stop meeting in person.
Our April 2020 ministry is the King Ministry in Ghana. We have supported King in this godly work for about 5 years now and have seen his work expand greatly in his home country during this time. Attached are the two most recent newsletters we have received from the King Ministry (also called the Alabaster Project) updating you on their continuing activities and expansion throughout north Africa. If you would like to support this ministry this year, please send a check to Covenant indicating this is for the King Ministry or, if you prefer, just include it in your regular giving check and indicate on the bottom left corner of your check how much should be donated to this important global ministry work.
We will extend the time for donations to this ministry until about mid-May since we are announcing it late. We will then announce our May Ministry for the second half of May to get back on schedule with our monthly ministries.
Thanks to all our members for their generosity to Covenant Church and to our important ministry work during this difficult time. May God continue to bless each of you, your families, and Covenant Church.
Sincerely,
Covenant Trustees
