What a special TGIF on this January 1!! Happy New Year to all!!
I hope and pray that you all had a very special Advent season and enjoyed the celebration of Jesus’ birth with family and loved ones. I hope that your focus during this time was on the peace, hope, joy, and love that is the centerpiece of the Advent season. I pray that God’s Spirit living inside you provided you hope for your future which then leads to His fruit of love, joy, and peace in our daily lives, not just during the Advent season but through the new year we start today and throughout all of the time we are blessed to spend here on God’s earth.
Galatians 5:22-23 – But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law.
In spite of the difficulties we have all faced this past year beginning with Covid and ending with an interesting presidential election, I pray that we all felt God’s comforting and healing hand on our shoulders throughout this 2020 journey. We all know that in spite of whatever difficulties we faced this past year that our ultimate reward is still there for each of us, our glorious gift of salvation!
Psalm 73:24 – You will guide me with Your plan, and afterward receive me to glory.
As we go into this new year, let our New Year’s resolution be to focus on the many blessings we have in our lives today and may He guide us in the path we choose to take today and throughout this coming year.
Psalm 16:11 – You will make known to me the way of life; in Your presence is fullness of joy; in Your right hand there are pleasures forever.
May this day and this entire year be a blessing to you in your Christian walk.
