Covenant TGIF Message From Ron

TGIF

Sarah Youngs’s devotional in Jesus Calling for today, September 24, struck me when I read it, so I would like to share it with you.  Her devotional begins – You are a letter from Me, written not with ink but with the Spirit of the living God – on the tablet of your heart.  Think about that beautiful sentence for just a moment, God has defined us individually by implanting His Holy Spirit in our heart, offering us His presence and His guidance in everything we do.

2 Corinthians 3:3 – You show that you are a letter from Christ, the result of our ministry, written not with ink but with the Spirit of the living God, not on tablets of stone but on tablets of human hearts.

He equips and empowers you to do far more than you could ever do on your own.  So don’t be intimidated by challenging circumstances or tough times.

1 Corinthians 6:19-20 – Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; 20 you were bought at a price.  Therefore honor God with your bodies.

The third Person of the Godhead lives inside you!  Ponder the implications of this glorious truth.  You can do much more than you would think possible when you walk in My ways, asking the Helper to strengthen you as you go step by step with Me.

John 14:26 – But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you.

The Spirit writes on the tablet of your heart not only to bless you but also to draw others to Me.  When you are with people who don’t know Me, He can make you a living letter from Me. One of the shortest but most effective prayers is: “Help me, Holy Spirit.”  Use this prayer as often as you need, inviting Him to bring gospel truths alive through you.

Psalm 143:10 – Teach me to do your will, for you are my God; may your good Spirit lead me on level ground.

You don’t need to worry what to say to others, the Holy Spirit will take over and lead you!

Mark 13:11 – Whenever you are arrested and brought to trial, do not worry beforehand about what to say. Just say whatever is given you at the time, for it is not you speaking, but the Holy Spirit.

I pray that each of us will hear His word through Sarah’s message today, that our hearts will be open to hearing His word today and every day through the Holy Spirit we have received, and that we will commit all of our being to His service every day of our lives.  May God continue to bless each of us in our service to Him.

Romans 15:13 – May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.
