TGIF
Last Friday was a pretty frustrating day for me, and you might have noticed. I know we weren’t together last Friday, in fact Cindy and I were up in DC. That was what created my frustration, because sometimes when I am out of town I have difficulty sending out my weekly message. When I tried mailing out my weekly message last Friday, I got a message from the local service provider that it could not send out my message.
So that made me think about Tina’s Wednesday message from two days earlier on being patient. I thought of it because I sure needed some patience at that moment. I really wanted to get my message out before my day got too busy, but Tina’s message stated – Patient people can stay calm while enduring lengthy waits or dealing with difficult people and problems. So I remained remarkedly calm while working with Stevie and Cristina to try and find a way to send out my message from their home. We tried to send it out a few more times but we always got the same message. So I finally sent my planned message to Michelle Miller and asked her to send it out for me, which she did.
Galatians 6:9 – Let’s not become discouraged in doing good, for in due time we will reap, if we do not become weary.
I then discovered later that day that apparently my message actually went out multiple times I sent it, even though I got a message that it could not be sent each time I tried! So Cindy actually got 4 or 5 copies of my message that day. Maybe some of you got none, maybe some got 1 or 2 and maybe some got 4 or 5 like Cindy did. I apologize for any confusion or inconvenience all my efforts created for you all. I tried my best, tried to remain patient and calm (as Tina advised), persevered throughout the experience, rejoiced when I learned at least some mailings were sent, and thanked God for His help that day!
Romans 12:12 – rejoicing in hope, persevering in tribulation, devoted to prayer,
I don’t know what God’s plan was for me last Friday. Maybe He wanted to test me, maybe He wanted to see if I read and understood Tina’s message from Wednesday, and maybe His plan was something different entirely. His thoughts are certainly higher than my thoughts, and I may never know for sure why I had that Friday experience, but I do know that it was for my good.
Philippians 4:6 – Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and pleading with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.
Also, remember this famous verse of scripture, where we can always find comfort knowing that God knows every step, and its purpose. As we trust Him throughout our walk, we don’t need to know anything else.
Romans 8:28 – And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.
If for any reason, you did not receive my TGIF message last Friday and would like a copy, please email me and I am glad to send it to you. I am at home again and do not anticipate any issues sending out today’s message (I hope!!).
