TGIF Covenant Update

Before I begin today’s TGIF message, I want to provide an update on Edwina.  She is still in the ICU at North Florida Hospital, the good news is her infection has not affected her heart at all, so it is still strong.  The bad news is the doctors have still not definitely identified the infection, so they cannot begin treatment.  Please continue to pray for Edwina, her family, and her doctors during this difficult time.  If anyone wants to send a card, please send it to Edwina’s home address – 1919 NW 4th Ave, Gainesville FL 32603.  Her family will see that she gets all her cards.

TGIF

The past 2 weeks I wrote to you about Cindy’s and my amazing trip to Yellowstone and the Grand Teton National Parks.  Seeing the awesome beauty that God has created in His world in so many different ways was almost beyond comprehension.  It was interesting to then return home and face more of God’s awesome power in Tropical Storm Elsa.  What a rainfall display we had on Wednesday, on top of all the rain we have received the past 6 weeks!!   In case anyone wonders, He is in charge – all the time and in all circumstances!!

Colossians 1:16-17 – For in him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, … all things have been created through him and for him. 17 He is before all things, and in him all things hold together.

As Sarah Young shared just a few days ago, I am before all things, and in Me all things hold together.  I have always been and always will be.  All things were created by Me; things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible.  I am Lord over creation, over the church, over everything!  Worship Me as your vibrant Lord, the living God.  I want my loved ones to thirst for me – as the deer pants for streams of water.

Jeremiah 29:13 – You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.

Seek closeness to God!  Pray continuously! Speak to Him!  Just as important, listen to what He is saying to you!

Do these things in spite of how your day is going!  Some days will always be better than others!  Some days are full of sunshine, and some days are full of rain (literally like Wednesday)!  But He is always present, He is always there for us to bring sunshine into even the gloomiest day!

Romans 15:13 – May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.
