Dear Covenant Family:
I have an update to the message I sent out this morning. Don has checked with his peanut farmer and has learned that his peanuts will all be gone by the end of this week. Don had a good response from our attendees this past Sunday to his plans for a peanut boil, so he has proposed we do it this coming Sunday since the peanut season is almost over.
So this Sunday we will have our first Covenant peanut boil from 5:00 – 6:00 PM in the shaded grassy area behind our parking lot (in case of bad weather, we will hold it inside the church). So we encourage everybody to bring outdoor chairs to sit and visit and enjoy boiled peanuts. We also encourage anyone who would like to make homemade ice cream (or bring store bought ice cream !) to bring it to enjoy with the boiled peanuts. The boiled peanuts and drinks to go with the peanuts will be provided.
Feel free to bring friends, the more the merrier!
