Today’s Wednesday message comes to you from Rose Morgan.

“This is the day the Lord hath made.  We will rejoice and be glad in it. “ Psalms 118:23

As I sit on my back porch in my swing, listening to the birds chirping and watching the sunlight shimmering through the trees with their beautiful spring foliage, I am reminded of two things:  thankfulness and joy.  Even now, with all that is going on in our world and the challenges all around us, we are told to “Be joyful always” 1Thessalonians 5:16.  Does it really truly means always?  Always means all the time, continuously and unfailingly.  So how in the world can we be joyful during a time of fear, uncertainty, confinement, loss of jobs and all the other issues we are dealing with?  By being thankful for the life God has provided for us NOW.  We can still enjoy life even if nothing exciting is going on at the time.

Let’s enjoy the simple everyday things.  Most of life can be rather ordinary, but we are equipped with the power of God to live everyday life in an awesome way.  Lots of things happen that we don’t plan, some good, some difficult.  But Jesus said “Be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.” John 16:33.

Thankfulness is such a wonderful quality to have because when we are truly grateful, we
refuse to complain, we don’t criticize or gripe, and we aren’t filled with negativity.  We are
focused on the good things God has done in our lives and is continuing to do.  We serve a great and powerful God.  Aren’t you thankful for that?

Prayer
Holy Father
It’s amazing to reflect back over our lives and see how you have blessed us.  You have been with us through every twist and turn.  You have forgiven us when we have fallen.  How awesome to know that You are right beside us every moment.  You are my Savior And King.  Thank you for Your amazing love!  Amen

P.S.  Thank you for all the prayers and cards you sent to Joe while he was recovering from  his accident.  He is doing great!  God is so good!
