What does church mean to you?

Here is the church
Here is the steeple
Open the doors and see all the people

Another song we sang with the children is as follows
Chorus:
I am the church
You are the church
We are the church together
All who follow Jesus all around the world
Yes we’re the church together
1.   The church is not a building
The church is not a steeple
The church is not a resting place
The church is the people
Chorus
2.     We’re many kinds of people with
Many kinds of faces.
All colors and all ages too
From all times and places
Chorus
3.     And when the people gather
There’s singing and there’s praying
There’s laughter and there’s crying
Sometimes all of them saying
Chorus

For a children’s choir singing this song, go to

These last weeks of isolation and quarantine have made me realize how
much I miss worshiping together with our church family. Private prayers
times, Bible study, devotions or watching church services on TV or
YouTube cannot take the place of fellowship with friends. There’s
something special about praising God with beautiful music, prayers and a
message by our pastor.

This Friday, April 17, Covenant Church will celebrate its 33rd
anniversary.  Looking back, I realize it was the members that made this
possible. Programs, traditions, and meetings were not a precedent over
people. Members took the call to be Christians serious, worshiping here
is about equipping you to be the church in your daily lives

Covenant has been blessed with Godly leadership from pastors and lay
leaders God has poured is His blessings on members and the Church

So I say again, I am the church, you are the church, we are the church ,
all who follow Jesus all around ,  all who follow Jesus all around the
world yes we’re the church together.

Prayer,
Thank you Heavenly Father for your love and faithfulness through the
years.  Your hand has guided us through good times and not so good
times.  Calm our fears in these uncertain times.  Help us to know our
faith in You is all we need to weather this storm.  You are our God and
promised to be with us at all times.  We pray for strength for today and
bright hope for tomorrow that in you alone.   We pray for healing for
our country and the world.  We need your peace and calm assurance for
the future.  Let us draw neigh to You.  God is in control.  In his
precious Son’s name.  Amen
