Dear Covenant Family:
I have a lengthy report to share with you today on health issues in our church. First, many of you remember Mildred Kinard, a long time member of Covenant Church. Mildred has not attended for a few years now due to health issues. We just learned that Mildred recently suffered one or more strokes and is now in Hospice, unable to speak. Pastor Don visited with her yesterday.
Two of our members are in the hospital. Betty Arnette is in North Florida with an irregular heart beat. Beverly Wurts is in Shands preparing for surgery for congestive heart failure.
Although not in the hospital, Larry Wurts has fallen a number of times this week and clearly misses Beverly. Also, Virginia Phillips who is still recovering from her recent broken bones was also hospitalized recently to receive some stents to assist her blood flow, and is now staying with her sister. Finally, Francis Bush was released from the hospital and has returned to Georgia for a few weeks to finalize some family matters.
