Dear Covenant Family:
Two of the Covenant monthly ministries are global in nature, the rest are all local. We have recently received newsletters from both our global ministries, so I wanted to share that info with you, and also some additional information about each of those ministries for your information.
The Alabaster Project, also known as the King Ministry, is active in Ghana in introducing Christianity to people in that country. We have been involved with this ministry for at least the last six years. The story about how Covenant became involved and worked with the Alabaster Project is quite interesting and detailed, so I will tell you about it in an upcoming TGIF message, because I am convinced there was Godly intervention in having this ministry and Covenant come together. I attach here the latest newsletter just received from King describing their current work for God’s kingdom in Ghana.
The Costas Ministry, working in Brazil, is a newer ministry to Covenant, introduced to us about 2 years ago by Pastor Carl Romey. Carl knew the Costas family and invited them to come and speak at Covenant. After that presentation, Covenant decided to support this global ministry as well and have supported it since. Attached is their most recent newsletter, received last October, describing how they have become much more active again following the COVID restrictions that had affected them for the past 2 years.
Also note that this Sunday we will have Communion at Covenant! So please come if you can to partake in this important part of our Christian faith! Hope to see you this Sunday!
Ron
