Covenant Church Update

Dear Covenant Family:

It was a great day at Covenant yesterday as we celebrated our 36th church anniversary!  Thanks to Michelle and her able assistant, granddaughter Tessa, for setting up a beautiful and bountiful serving of food and coffee for us to enjoy during and after church today.  Also, thanks to Rose Morgan and Victoria McArthur for the great desserts they made for the celebration.  It was indeed a wonderful time to just visit, chat, and eat and drink.  Please see the attached church bulletin for ministries this month.

Prayer requests were asked by Pastor Don for his sister in Ozark Alabama, by Pastor Don for JoAnn Mills who was in a serious car accident this week but fortunately was only sore from the seat belt and the air bags deploying, by Larry Noegel for the family of a friend who was diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumor on Easter Sunday and died this past Wednesday, and by Victoria McArthur for her granddaughter Courtney who is pregnant and ready to deliver her baby girl Missy, but she is having trouble with the delivery.

The Trustees at Covenant Church have decided to give a gift of $1,000 to Jim Sproull’s Atlanta church in memory of Jim and Linda’s long and dedicated service to Covenant.  Linda Sproull called Rose Morgan this week and told her how much she and Jim cherished their time of service at Covenant.

Pastor Don was out sick last Sunday for Easter and shared that was the first Easter service he has ever missed.  So he decided to give his prepared Easter sermon, which followed nicely with Tina’s and my weekly messages this week that Easter should be a year long activity as we should constantly give praise that He is risen!

I wish everyone a very blessed week!

Ron
