Dear Covenant Family:
It is the time of year for Covenant Church to hold its annual meeting. Last year, due to COVID, we held the church meeting right after church one Sunday in December. Because that meeting time worked so well, we plan to do the same thing this year. So the Trustees are planning to hold our annual church meeting on Sunday, December 12 right after our church service.
There are two main agenda items. We need to approve the 2022 church budget and we need to elect 2 Trustees. Joe, as Covenant Treasurer, will prepare our proposed budget and the Trustees along with Pastor Don will approve it for presentation to the church for their vote.
The current church Trustees are Ron, Joe, Michelle, and Edwina, and Madge was an Honorary Trustee in 2021. The 3-year terms of Ron and Madge are up this year. Ron agrees to run for re-election and the Trustees have asked Craig Alexander to consider running for the second Trustee position. Note that Craig has really stepped up this past year in his service to Covenant and has really led our maintenance repair list which had become a high priority in the church as well as assuming responsibility for delivering collected goods to Pine Grove. We really appreciate Craig’s efforts in his service to God through Covenant Church, and Craig has graciously agreed to our request to run for a Trustee position at Covenant.
Now we can accept more nominations if anyone would like to nominate themselves or another church member. Nominations can be given to any Trustee until Sunday December 5, when nominations will end.
If you have any questions about the meeting, please ask any Trustee. We look forward to our annual meeting and to Covenant’s continued service to God in 2022.
