Dear Covenant Family:

Yesterday Covenant held its 7th Sunday service since re-opening on June 7.  We had 19 attendees at yesterday’s service.  We have had between 15-22 folks at each church service so feel that there is a core group of members who want and need to come together to worship God, see their church family, and pray for our members and our country.  We have heard from others that they are not yet ready to come back to Covenant, and we respect those folks and their decisions.  We all need to pray that this covid pandemic can end soon so we can all get back to worshiping God together as the Covenant family.

Church leadership continues to monitor the covid situation locally.  Although the case rate is increasing in Florida and Alachua County, we believe our church is as safe as it can be.  The church is used only for Sunday services and is cleaned weekly, and we have had good compliance with social distancing and wearing of masks at our services.  Some folks do have a hard time wearing a mask for over an hour so do remove their mask for awhile when we are seated and Carl is leading the service.

So for now, we will continue to offer Sunday services.  We will certainly let everyone know as soon as anything changes in these plans.

Carl’s scripture yesterday for his sermon was Psalm 16:5-8, in case you want to check it out.

Covenant Monday Mini-Message:
As you go about your work and your day today, do so in Joy!  Remember – your Savior’s presence beside you and His love within you is enough.  It’s all you need!

Lamentations 3:22-24 – The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; His mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.  “The Lord is my portion,” says my soul, “therefore I will hope in Him.”
